Here is a step-by-step guide on how to get started with Ridepanda:

1. Go to https://get.ridepanda.com/south-natomas-tma/sacramento_ca to browse through the bikes available to you.
2. Select the bike you want to subscribe to.
3. Once you pick a bike, select the size, color, and enter in your work email address. Click “Continue” and you’ll be asked to enter in a one-time code. Check your work email for the code and enter it in the box. If you did not receive it, click on “Resend Code.” Click on “Continue” again when you’re done.
4. Complete the checkout process. Enter in your first name, last name, phone number, and helmet size.
5. Enter in your shipping address.
6. Enter in your credit card information.
7. Review your order information before clicking on “Pay $XX.”
8. You will receive an email confirmation and the Ridepanda Team will keep you updated on when your e-bike, pedal bike, or scooter will arrive.

May is Bike Month is a campaign where we celebrate our local bike culture and encourage new and experienced riders to replace their car trips with bike trips. The average car trip to run errands is 1-3 miles. This is a distance perfect for cycling.

Bicycling saves you money and time, is good for the environment, great for your wellbeing, and strengthens our local cycling community.

How to Participate

• Create an account on NorCal GO
  • You can also use the iPhone App or the Google Play App to register and keep track of your rides
• Register for May is Bike Month on NorCal GO
• Once you register, you can log your rides and miles on NorCal GO in May to win bikes, t-shirts, gift cards, park passes and more!
• Riders who register before May 1st are entered to win a May is Bike Month prize. 

May is Bike Month has been part of the Sacramento region for over 20 years, and SABA has hosted it for the past five years with support from Sacramento Area Council of Governments.

The SNTMA has funds remaining for seven Bucks for Bikes subsidies. We are offering up to $500 or 90% of the purchase cost of a new commuter bike, whichever is less to the TMA. Complete the attached application and return it with a written bike shop estimate to Stephanie at Stephanie@sntma.org. Electric bike and scooter purchases are eligible. As a condition of funding, recipients must provide a photo of themselves with their new bikes, copies of receipts and will track bike commute usage for one month. Failure to comply will make the recipients ineligible for SNTMA programs and benefits until the criteria are met. The application deadline is 5/29/2026. One cannot receive both Bike Maintenance & Accessory and Bucks for Bikes subsidies in the same calendar year. One can only receive a Bucks for Bikes subsidy every 3 years. The increase will go into effect with 2026 invoices.

The NorCal Go system only counts “greener trips” as trips made by carpool, vanpool, transit, biking, walking, or working from home. Low Emissions Vehicles are still making an impact. It’s just that those vehicle trips are not included in the “Your Activity” chart for greener trips on your “home” screen.

So long as you have provided stephanie@sntma.org with your LEV year, make and model and you record at least 20 commute trips, you will be eligible for the South Natomas TMA LEV Subsidy.

Redeem SNTMA alternative commute subsidies the first two business days of each month in NorCal Go. Instructions to redeem our subsidies in NorCal Go attached.

One Subsidy Per Person Per Month, Allows More Participants, Effective January 1, 2024.

SNTMA subsidy participants have 30 days to retrieve PayPal subsidy payments. No exceptions.
