Parks & Trails Strategic Development Plan Survey

This plan looks to identify a vision for a regional trails network that allows people to travel in more ways than just in a car. The goal of this strategic plan is to identify missing trails and access points to trails to better connect residents with jobs, recreation, and other points of interest, with a particular focus on disadvantaged communities that often lack green space and access to quality infrastructure that promotes safe walking and biking. Our survey related to this project is now open and we are hoping to reach out to as many residents in our six-county region as possible, especially from those we do not often connect with. We will be offering participants a chance to win grocery store gift cards for $50 as a thank you.

Bucks for Bikes The SNTMA Bucks for Bikes program flyer and application are attached. The application deadline is Friday March 26th. The SNTMA has funds for twenty subsidies up to $720 or 90% of the cost of the bike, whichever is less for the TMA. Participants are required to provide the receipt for the bike, a photo of them with their new, commuter bike and ride their bike from home to work 10 round trips the month after receiving the bike. We prefer to support the only bike shop in Natomas. If you are not currently commuting to South Natomas, we will accept estimates and receipts from bike shops other than the Natomas Bike Shop. We strongly encourage serious applicants to visit a bike shop for a good estimate of a commuter bike that is a good fit for the individual and the commute. Application also in the “What’s New” section of our website www.sntma.org and in the 2021 Bucks for Bikes album on our Facebook page.
